8½.13 is comming soon! Does someone want to create new icons for Fp-Check? (Besides, there is no need that the new are simliar to the dustbin; you have free hand)
Btw, 8½.12 proofed to be very stable.

I have re-written Fp-Check from the scratch and so it's not compareable to the old version. Current version: "8½.10 public BETA" (Code "Return of the King" - LotR rules :) - very stable already.

Only a patch today: current version is "Fp-Check 8a2-ras" (is able to close F-StopW in a normal way).

Fp-Check seems to be nearly dead. No, not at all. The specification for Fp-Check (build 9) - codename 'UC'- is 99,99% complete. To make you eager on Fp-Check, i have coded a GUI-preview. ...So, if someone is now in the mood to support me in my aim, should mail me!

Well, it goes on... Because everything will be new (and better :) in Fp-Check build 9, a planing phase is nessesary. Eveybody is invited to contribute his part as a beta tester (I don't like to "patch" some important features afterwards) Anyone who likes to become a tester, shall send me a mail to get the access-data for the NNTP server.

My testers let my down. Well, nothing goes on :-/

I don't know, if I will develop Fp-Check any further. I haven't got the time, people who mail me their opionon and in the meantime I wrote a Linux-bash-script that does the same. I have many good ideas (specification isn't finished yet) I'd like to realize, but but ...
At the moment I havn't got the time -I have to rewrite 90% of the code 'cause there where many patches so that the code got a bit messy- but if I find a few beta tester I'll change my mind. Otherwise 8a2final was the last version :(

BugFix: The old Fp-Check 8a1g configuration can now be applied without any loss! The error messages "config was modified" and "Values are set to default" are still appearing at the first execution.

Changes in Build 8a2 Final:
The Selfcheck was made more secure. After a successful update there is the opportunity to execute an external program (eg: to update boot disks). F-StopW.exe, the external program and the configuration file are protected by a checksum against unnoticed modifications. The option to cut the reportfile was deactivated.
I advise user of the build 8a1g to select the "Update" at the setup! The configuration file was changed/extended. This will cause an error at the first execution of Fp-ManUp - The old settings will be partially lost (so backup the FP-CHK.DAT before)!

Small Update to 8a1g: Due to the problems under Win9x with the current F-StopW version (3.11b), I don't use the automatic termination anymore. If F-StopW is running, you will get a prompt to quit F-StopW manuelly. F-StopW isn't loaded anymore, when it's already running. The date-display in Fp-Check was corrected. Some minor internal changes in the Selfcheck.

Small Update, because there were some problems with the SelfCheck unter Win2k. This should be fixes now. Besides, I've improofed the SelfCheck-algorithem.

Long awaited compartibility update!
The new build 8a1f supports now F-StopW til version 3.11a.
(If you are currently running build 8a1e, use the installation type "update".)
Fp-Check was now tested under Win2k.

Nobody was interesed into my programm (makes me sad). But I did some plans (eg: there will be like in Bob's FpUpdater an enigne-update-feature) If someone motivates me, I'll start programming a bit earliear (than in the begining of next year).
Thanks to the c't Shareware-Team and DaveCentral, who added me to their collection.
